03/07/2024 Visit the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel at the glass factory KAVALIRGLASS

Visit the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel to the KAVALIERGLASS glass factory which has been the leading European producer of borosilicate glass for 180 years. Together with the owner of the glass factory Otakar Moťka and Chairman of the Czech and Moravian Glass Cluster Dalibor Šilhavý we submitted to the President a draft legislative amendment to the consolidation package to reintroduce the exemption from energy tax for mineralogical (glass) processes, which we will subsequently submit to the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic for approval.

 
 

03/01/2024 Conference "How to export the glass industry production 2024"

The Czech and Moravian Glass Cluster with Ministry of Industry and Trade and Czech Trade  organized a conferrence aimed at supporting the export of the Czech glass industry. It was attended by over 54 companies. During the seminar, Czech glassmakers and representatives of the MIT, Czech Trade and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tradesmen discussed the possibilities of exporting the Czech glass industry to markets that are currently most interesting for this segment. 10/25/2023 Czech Glass Mission at Istanbul 2023

Contemporary Czech design was presented at the sales exhibition of Czech glass masters in Istanbul from October 24 - 26. 2023. The event took place at the hotel Hilton Bosphorus. 03/16/2020 Czech Glass Mission at Times Fashion Week in Mumbai 2020

Contemporary Czech design was presented at the Bombay Times Fashion Week. The fashion collections of leading Czech designers launched a three-day program on 13th March. Their shows were accompanied by an exhibition of Czech glass makers, designers and artists taking place at the venue of Bombay Times Fashion Week.

Czech Glass Mission at Times Fashion Week in Mumbai and participation was financially supported by the Czech and Moravian Glass Cluster, represented by the chairman Dalibor Šilhavý. The glass exhibition was also used as a venue for meetings of Czech companies with Indian business partners. In cooperation with the CzechTrade office in Mumbai and the Honorary Consulate, many useful business to business meetings were organized.

02/06/2020 Seminary "How to successfully export Czech Glass" at the Ministry of Industry and Trade

The Czech and Moravian Glass Cluster with Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a seminar aimed at supporting the export of the Czech glass industry. It was attended by over 70 companies.  During the seminar, Czech glassmakers and representatives of the MIT, Czech Trade and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tradesmen discussed the possibilities of exporting the Czech glass industry to markets that are currently most interesting for this segment.

Memorandum of understanding was signed with India association of small and medium entrepreneurs, The INDIA SME FORUM on 11/30/2019 in Mumbai.

The memorandum was signed between Mrs. Sushma Morthania, Founder and Director General and Mr. Dalibor Silhavy, Chairman of the Czech and Moravian Glass Cluster.

05/29/2018 Czech glass artifact

To celebrate 100. anniversary of the creation of independent Czechoslovakia is 29. 5. 2018 on the floor of the Czech Parliament officially passed the glass artifact to the president of the Chamber of deputies of the Czech Republic. The transmission of an artistic work took place with the participation of representatives of association of Czech and moravian glass cluster, which is a member author of the work, novoborský artist Pavel Danys. The glass artifact is fashioned in novoborské glassworks Egermann classical manual production with masterful engravings Jaromir Šosteka. In the fabrication of the art work involved glassmakers association in the glass of the cluster together with before becoming chief George Semerádem. 04/21/2017 GLASS DAYS at the festival Zlín Design week 2017

Week from Friday 21. 4. 2017 exhibits 5 glass organisations in a single concept Glass days at zlín design week 2017. The exhibition exhibition is located in 2 Koma City modules located in the center of Zlín in the street Soudní.

The first module is focused on glass design, where the company Brokis exhibits its luminaires.Shadows and Whistle collections are on display.The series Shadow was Inspired by French studio lights and Whistle lamps are then reminiscent of their glass whistle shape.

The second module is dedicated to science, research and innovation in the glass industry. GDS Technology and Glass Service in cooperation with the with the University of Chemical Technology in Prague and the Laboratory of Inorganic Materials. For this important event, Glass service has created microscopic photographs of glass defects and GDS Technology from the selected template made photographic reproduction on a flat glass. Used was a combination of technology, sanding and staining the glass, thanks to which so achieve an active contrast.

In addition to companies are presenting even the Secondary school of applied arts industrial glass school in Valašské Meziříčí (school of UNESCO), which builds on the rich traditions of glassmaking and belongs to unique groups in the CZECH republic. Industry is the school focused on three basic artistic and art directions: glass – design – painting.

02/09/2017 Czech art glass received the award for craft achievement of the year 2016

Award of the Association of small and medium-sized enterprises and crafts of the CZECH republic for a unique exhibition of the glass artifacts on the subject on topic about 700. anniversary of the birth of Charles IV. received the glass association of Czech art glass. Together with the diploma earned from a Commercial bank 15 000 Czk. This award guild appreciates and thanks the ASMP of the CZECH republic for a very successful Year crafts 2016 (www.rokremesel.cz).

04/28/2016 Conference Day of clusters in the Pardubice Region

The day of clusters in the Pardubice Region took place on Thursday 28.4.2016 at the Regional Office in Pardubice, in Kašparův sál, Komenského náměstí 30. This was the first event of type in the Czech Republic, when we are launching a series of other events of this type gradually in all regions of the Czech Republic.The aim of "Cluster Day" is to introduce businesses, schools, media, politicians and regional clusters (including universities, innovative and regional development infrastructure) with the work of the glass cluster with the aim of getting into the wider awareness of politicians and the public and to point out the implementation of regional cluster policy and support for glassworks, glass schools in individual regions.

01/31/2015 The Czech Art of Glass Association presentation at the „Crafts Fans“ exhibition

The Czech Art of Glass Association teamed up with other craft guilds – members of the Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Sole Traders – in presenting themselves by a joint stand at the 17th annual Fair „Roofs of Prague Roofs – Crafte of Prague – Solar Prague" held on 22 and 23 January, 2015 on the Letňany exhibition grounds.

The Czech Art of Glass Association received a diploma and a grant of 30 000 CZK from Komerční banka in appreciation of the Concerto Glassico exhibitions organized in Prague Tuscan Palace in August and September 2014.
